Trump is trying to speed run through the appeals courts to stop his sentencing in NY on Friday. His first stop in the process was to get an emergency injunction in the first tier of appeals in NY state. Unfortunately for Trump they can read a calendar and he is scheduled for a hearing on Jan 21. [Chefâs Kiss]
Ultimately, Trump will try and jump tracks to get to SCOTUS. Unfortunately for him, unlike Florida where Clarence Thomas (IIRC) is the gatekeeper and willing to do injunctions for cash, to avoid his date with the gavel on Friday he has to get past Sonya Sotomayor. Good luck with that.
