Exactly. It was a shit show last time - which included multiple votes and one bewigged GOP member trying to punch Matt Gaetz - so it’s going to be infinitely worse this time because the stakes are so much higher. It only takes a couple of crazies to vote for “not Mike Johnson” and it the turd keeps barreling down the hill.
A couple of side issues:
Someone is going to vote for Elon Musk, and Elon Musk isn’t above stuffing money into someone’s pocket to make it happen.
It will not take too much of a miscalculation - of which there were many last time - for the House to elect Speaker Jeffries. The Dems voted in lock-step for him last time, and it only takes a simple majority to win…

They would. Typically they don’t elect one, at least not by a vote, they just adopt a resolution stating that the person is. Normally, it’s a unanimous declaration that it goes to the senior most Senator from the majority party. There is no rule, however, that it goes by seniority or that it even has to be a sitting Senator. They could theoretically select Musk for that one as well.
Trump is incapable of having a harmonious workplace. He feeds off his underlings competition and compulsion for his adoration. Folks talk about what our last line of defense is for Trump, but I think he’s created his own checks and balances. His followers will destroy each other.
