The problem here is that Trump has only one operational mode: never back down. His ego won’t allow it. When other nations retaliate, he’ll double down. The damage will be tremendous (hell, it already is).

He says he never backs down, but he backs down all the time. Because he is mostly standing strong against made up issues, his classic move is to just declare it solved and move on.

Allegedly, Apple flew five plane loads full of iPhones (and other products) out of India in order to bypass the tariffs:
Apple is also considering shifting more of its production to India as a broader response to the Chinese tariffs.
This is all well and good for Apple, but if it were cheaper to build iPhones in India rather than China, they’d be doing that already. So there will be higher manufacturing costs, plus there is a still a tariff on shit from India.
This will get out of control and we will be lucky to live through it.
