In the spring when they horny and all, you can call them right up close. Very fun to watch.
A buddy of mine spent several days of Spring '23 getting divebombed by a kite whenever he stepped out to the front sidewalk.

I once had barn swallows build a mud fortress on my front porch. They would dive bomb me when I came out the front door but always veered off when they got a few feet from my face. It was next to impossible not to flinch but I knowing they would veer off, I would try. It was fun game the birds and I played. The next time they tried to build there I shooed them away because they shit all over my porch furniture when they had their nest there.

You guys laugh but I feel sorry for anyone who doesnât have a nice pintao. You flip the front up, obviously, and you can flip the back up, too, if youâre feeling jaunty.
There used to be some birds that would attack me when I had to get up on the roof of the mango house, which sadly was pretty often. One thing I do not miss about Panama is the constant maintenance that house required.
What did barn swallows do before humans built barns?
Would really like to see them lock up a 1 or 2 seed.

Either the Orioles or Yankees will likely end up a 4 seed. 1 through 3 will be the division winners. 1 and 2 get a bye from the wild card series.
Having said that, the Astros just need to keep concentrating on winning. The rest will take care of itself if they do that.
