Pitching Coaches have to love masks. No more having to cover their mouths with their hands to stop lip readers.
Phillips up with the bases juiced and 2 outs. Just inside, but the catcher is lunging all over the place 1-0. Just outside, 2-0. There’s one in the zone, 2-1. Heat at the top of the zone, 2-2. SWINGS THROUGH A HEATER! PONCHE!

That’s it for me, work is picking up too much for me to keep PBPing consistently.
Chas McCormick is probably a nobody prospect-wise, but he was very good for RR.
Strom is a magician.
I was getting a ton of phone notifications and couldn’t figure out why. When I finally got a chance to look at my phone, it was 15-4 (Astros) in the top of the 9th.
I can’t give you much on the play-by-play, but the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings have featured home runs from Taylor Jones, Nick Tanielu, and Aledmys Diaz and a lot of on-the-bases activity featuring Diaz, Toro, Tucker, and Jack Mayfield. And the Astros still have one more out to play with.
Jojanse Torres (whose 2019 MiLB numbers were pretty eye-opening) gets sent back out to mop up in the bottom of the 9th, but it seems more like he’s just pushing the muck around.
Your final score: 15-6, Astros.
The KC announcers brought up the same thing.
Apparently the game ended because Strom told KC that Torres would only throw so many pitches. Maybe they told Witt Jr to get picked.
