Recently, I learned they had both released ‘Got to get you into my life’.
EW&F’s was from the Sgt Pepper soundtrack and reached #9 on the Billboard 100.
BS&T’s version came out in 75 on their New City album and reached 62 on the Hot 100.
I think started to watch it once but didn’t get through it, not a Bryan Brown fan. Everything I see him in he seems like the same ocker he was in The Odd Angry Shot. The third studio album by AC/DC however, that is a much different discussion.
I really liked Bryan Brown in Breaker Morant, as well as the film overall. I’m also a fan of his wife. She was a fucking smoke show in Dead Men Wear Don’t Wear Plaid (a highly, underrated film). I haven’t seen her in many years, however.
If you can get past your distaste of Bryan Brown, highly recommend watching the film. Sam Neill is so good as a crooked cop and you also get John Goodman, who’s great in just about everything he does.
I first saw Breaker Morant when we got HBO in the 80’s, and I remember that I really enjoyed it. I’ll have to track it down again and see if I still like it as much.
