2026 Austin Drink-up/Meetup

Hello, anyone and everyone in Austin or Central Texas!

@MikeS is coming to visit Austin with his special lady friend on Wednesday, April 15 (he invited himself), and our Mom is coming up from San Antonio to tell him I’ve always been her favorite son, which is common knowledge.

We thought it might be nice to get together Wednesday early evening and watch the “professional” baseball team from Houston we all like, but is currently in sucks mode, and have a couple of beers and cry on each others’ shoulders.
Therefore, because it worked out well last year, Turnstile on North Burnet will be the rally point at 630pm.
Come one, come all, hope to see some familiar and new faces.

Let’s go Astros.

Wish I could make it but I’m going to be in Dallas on Wednesday.

We still on for 6:30 tonight? I want to meet the brains behind Fine Disregard. It’ll be nice to see Mike again, too.

Sadly, I can’t make it tonight, as it’s night one of Moontower Comedy Festival.

Someone else will need to be charge of loudly overreacting to everything bad that happens/when the bullpen implodes. Have fun!

All I’m hearing are excuses
Hey, it appears you’re into comedy, have I suggested watching the 2026 Houston Astros?

Bummer to miss ya, bud.

I think so!
Looking forward to seeing you.

Great news- your people contacted my people and said you don’t have to go to dallass!
So, you’re off the hook

Bummer to miss ya, Sphinx.

I’m sure you guys are on a schedule, but if you can push your Turnstile arrival up to 6ish, I can swing by and say hi/have a beer before I head downtown.

Understandable if that doesn’t work, but I’d love to at least get to say hi.

Just got on our flight. No set schedule on our end other probably needing a cold libation when we land in Austin.

I’m on the retirement schedule. I can easily be there at 6pm to have a beer with Mark; I’ll just tell Luby’s to speed things up a bit.

Then let’s shoot for 6pm.

Nice! I’ll see you guys for a brewski at 6.

Isn’t 6:00pm around your bedtime these days?

He’s retired, not working for Big Oil.
