When she was on, she had a voice like no other.
Unfortunately, she often wasn’t on, and she marred more than one Dead song.
True, but the same goes for all the other vocalists in the band too.
The Mission Inn in Riverside is fantastic. If you haven’t read to posted link Roberts restored it to its’ current greatness.
I had a six-week trial in San Bernardino where we stayed in Riverside. At the Marriott. Opposing counsel stayed at the Mission Inn. I was seething with envy.
I did manage to get dinner there one night, though. Great meal, exceptional atmosphere.
Thank you for your courage in speaking truth to power.
I saw an entire Dead concert that was Dead songs marred. No Donna Jean needed.
Specifically “The Music Never Stopped” and every single live version of “Playing in the Band”
Exactly the songs I was thinking of.
I’m certain that I’ve skipped past those 2 songs more than I’ve listened to them

WTF?
Suicide following a police chase
Monday night he scores a touchdown off of a blocked punt. Wednesday night he kills himself. Wow… From ecstatic to tragic. So sad.
Not suggesting it wasn’t suicide, but I’m interested to know why he was being chased in the first place.
From what I read, police attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation, but he refused stop, led them on a high-speed chase until he eventually lost them. He crashed the vehicle, fled on foot. Then went home and shot himself.
