2024 Roster

You guys are right. Somehow had a gap in my knowledge there

I still do

Montero is no longer on the 40-man.

Details, details. Had no idea.

Yes! I saw that.

Congrats to Doobie too

There’s already one.

I didn’t know that. He barely looks old enough to know how that happens.

This confirms that Jake can at least hit something.

POTW

Whitley’s nice outing earned him a trip back to Sugar Land; Nick Hernandez recalled.

Salazar also headed down to make room for Jake’s return.

Huh, not what I would have guessed, especially regarding Salazar.

I suppose they need a fresher arm after the meltdown last night. It was Whitley’s turn in the barrel. I’d expect that 28th spot on the roster to change over a few times in the next month.

I thought the same thing until I remembered that this mysterious guy named Tucker is supposed to be activated for the Arizona series.

With Bregman’s elbow issues and the revolving door that is first base, I didn’t see Whitcomb or Dezenzo being sent down, which leaves Salazar and Chas. One had to go today, and one tomorrow.

I guess they rewarded Chas’ progress by giving him another day in Cincinnati.

I don’t see them releasing Heyward, as a respected veteran who just got here and Gamel has been really good. That means they are very OF heavy, so Chas gets the short straw.

I do expect Salazar to return if they make post season though.

Chas’ “progress”?

He is indeed now 1 hit away from a .200 BA (.19912)

3 for 7 w/ a walk and no Ks while subbing for Jake the past 2 days. A HR in his final game before being sent down.

Small sample, but it IS progress.
