It’s happening.
So will they replace the oranges in the train with air conditioners?
They should put a bunch of window units back there with streamers fluttering in the breeze.
The train should be completely restyled as a streamlined, ultra modern, Astro-Train ™.
Maybe they can fix the A/C while they’re at it
This seems to be a common refrain from Stros fans on the internet
It would be the height of irony if they didn’t
Well you see you’re way underpowered for this space.
Now I don’t want to bad mouth other people’s work that’s not what I’m about, but you’ve only got 6, maybe 7 SEER and with those high widows your heart pump just can’t keep up.
Now some blackout curtains and a window unit or 2 might help but I’m gonna have to recommend a while new system.
And we haven’t even started talking about the ductwork which I can see from here is gonna be an issue.
Saw something today saying Boras has started the official bidding at 11 years/$350 million. There’s a disconnect somewhere in his brain.
Holy shit, can you imagine paying $33 million for 41-year-old Bregman’s output?
And I get a chuckle out of people who think he’ll go to San Francisco. Do they think that Boras and Bregman don’t know what that park will do to his numbers?
There is no way Alex Bregman gets 11 years, $350 million from any team. Scott Boras clearly hasn’t learned a thing from his Blake Snell/Jordan Montgomery fiasco last season.
I saw that Rosenthal report in The Athletic, and it was tempered with weasel-words: “I suspect” that Bregman is seeking that. Basically, he speculates Bregman/Boras are using Manny Machado’s 11 yr/$350M extension from the Padres as a benchmark.
The obvious retort is that Machado got that overpay immediately after putting up a .298/.366/.531 season in 2022. And Bregman hasn’t had a season like that since 2019. He’s still a very good player. I just don’t expect to find him in the MVP conversation going forward.
I can’t imagine paying $33 million for 31-year old Bregman’s output.
Bregman will be without a team to begin the season if he expects to receive that much for a contract.
Colton Gordon added to the 40-man. I think that leaves one slot open (though I did not confirm that).
I believe that’s correct.
