Michael Schwab a month ago, and now one of the 610 radio guys yesterday, are saying that the Astros are buying out the MMP naming rights deal with Coca-Cola and selling it to Daikin. New deal is apparently worth $13mm/year vs. $3mm/year under the old deal. Announcement could come as early as Monday morning.

I had not heard this, but it’s obvious what the Stros are doing: Japanese sponsor = more Japanese players, the Stros are signing Sasaki and Kikuchi

I saw a report a couple of days ago that the Astros said there would be a press release on Monday. All signs definitely point to that being what is announced.
