I think the last bit is “decides to spend his money etc”
Also. What are the chances Cam Smith is now a bargaining chip? He seems to fit in the org and fills needs but I’m just throwing that out there. What kind of kingly ransom would a Framber/Smith package yield for the ML team?
Sorry. Thats what I get for hurrying because the wife is waiting and not proof reading after typing on this little phone keyboard. Then walking away without looking at my post
Fixed.
Do you have any idea of what his outside interests are? He always struck me, unfairly, surely, as an incurous sort of fellow.
I feel like I recall that he loves to fish
Yes.
He’s a good dude. Chicago corporate law talking guy.
Well, I mean, I don’t know, I guess I was hoping to hear that he has a deep interest in abstract impressionism or he really loves Chaucer. ‘He likes to fish’ is not an outside interest as far as I’m concerned, not if you’re sitting around wondering what to do with two hundred million dollars.
I like to fish, too, and I can assure the uninitiated that the barrier to entry is not Matterhorn high.
So he’s Lance Berkman without the mouth?
I’ve wondered that. As much as it’s been rumored that the Astros like Luis Robert from the White Sox, and with the outfield now being a talentless chasm, you can see how something like that might happen. Maybe a bad example with Robert being terrible in ‘24 but something along those lines, a good outfielder with a couple more years of club control/on his contract.
More like a couple more years of lengthy IL stints.
That’s almost enough.
“The two happiest days of your life are the day you buy your destroyer and the day you sell it.”
NYY were reportedly after Tucker but wouldn’t meet the Astros’ demand of Luis Gil and prospect George Lombard Jr.
Sucks to suck, Yanks.
Well, if you’re on some mission to catch every documented species in every known body of water in North America then I imagine costs could add up.
I said two hundred. I guess I misunderestimated how much fishing he’s going to be able to do.
That Tucker is a different cat was pretty apparent just observing him on t.v. He always has seemed a little distanced from his teammates. Not that it matters.
He’s recently married ( last offseason) and a big video gamer. He also comes across as very introverted. Thats all I know.
Tucker was great Astro. I enjoyed watching his MiL accent and the connection to his brother. I mostly enjoyed watching his sweet LH swing and balanced game.
He’s gone now, not an Astro. I could care less about his personality minutia. Good luck Kyle.
Tucker was a bust for a long time until he wasn’t. I was convinced his long swing would be his downfall. Shows how much I know.
The Astros were 49-34 without Kyle Tucker last season. He’s a great player but the team knows how to win without him. I’m just glad we got some decent players in trade.
