This is what I agree with most. He should be the org’s catching coordinator.
Maybe it’s crazy, but I like to think he might eventually replace Dusty.
Good for him. I hope he stays in the org after he retires.
I have always thought he would make a fantastic manager one day.

He will most assuredly turn it down, but I would offer Tucker 10 @ $275 today just to see if he would bite.
Batting sixth doesn’t result from any lack of appreciation or understanding of his ability. It comes from LOOK AT THE FIVE GUYS IN FRONT OF HIM.
Considering he still has 3 yrs of arbitration. - lets say they add up to $40M- another $235 for 7 FA years may be a good enough offer to get him to forsake free agency.
Not that I expect the Astros to make such an offer.
Houston did offer Cole or Correa 10 year deals so I certainly can’t see them offering Tucker one either.
I doubt it either.
But new GM may alter philosophy a bit and with salaries sky rocketing, avoiding big contracts is less and less of an advantage unless the player is more of an injury or regression risk than average.
It could happen.
I doubt it, too. I don’t think this is Crane’s M.O. regardless of who is the G.M.
As discussed over in the bus ride, it looks like the Astros front office might have found that Bryan/Brians are the next resource that is undervalued by other front offices.
Value Over Replacement Brian
Astros are clear leaders in Brians Above Average.
Priceless.
Chandler Rome
This is excellent news.
Not exactly lowering expectations is he?
I love it.
That is a great quote at the end.
