No, obviously this the first time Iâm watching this team. Of course, Iâm aware they were under .500 at home this season. I was at the Monday game of the Aâs series in September, and the Monday game against the Orioles where Pressly allowed the three-run homer to Mullins.
I agree itâs sucked dick on ice. If we were down 3-2 in the series that ice would be about 1000 degrees cooler.
At this point theyâve essentially used all their best arms so we SHOULD be able to take advantage tomorrow. Yes, Mad Max could go nuclear on us but heâs still a bit rusty and I think we should be able to get into their pen tomorrow.
If not this team went a lot further than I thought it would watching it all season long.
I had zero reason to believe the Astros would force a game 7 down 3 games to none against the Tampa Bay Rays in the shortened COVID season and they did. Most teams donât win three straight on the road after losing the first two games at home like the Astros have done in 2019 versus Washington and 2023 against Texas, either. Until they are officially eliminated, Iâll always believe this group of Astros has a chance.
I would say it very much does matter, because if DubĂłn gets on base thereâs at least a run in and Montero/Stanek probably donât see the light of day.
It may be a hard ask for a free swinger but a semblance of an approach was called for there.
Absolutely. That at bat by Dubon matters everything. It was the single most pivotal moment of this game, and possibly of the season. He absolutely shat himself in the biggest moment of his career.
