I guess my final thought of the evening is that if pitching and defense win, I like where the Astros are. But I would like to ask opposing batters to demonstrate the common courtesy not to hit the ball directly to the pitcher.

The absolute fucking epitome of losers, the dorky grown ass man Yankee fan that spent the entire game trying to start a Let’s Go Yankees chant and arguing with the Astros fans around him, left his seat while Carpenter was up to bat and actually left the building when he had 2 strikes on him.

Highlight of the night: Apetite, lovely female Astro fan sitting a few rows behind him, around the 7th inning, screamed “Sit the fuck down” at him, and he clutched his pearls so hard i was concerned for this wellbeing.

I clicked on a Yankee YouTube stream and learned a couple of things:
- Opening the roof was unfair. Judge’s fly ball would have been WAY out if the roof was closed.
- Astros relievers are using some substance that is eluding the umpires. Apparently the spin rate is not physically possible without “some tacky substance” aiding the pitcher.
It’s fucking delicious.
I think I heard the announcers say that the exit velo for Altuve’s last AB was 107. I am hoping that means he’s about to break out of this slump. (If any one knows where I can verify this, I’d appreciate the link).
