Maybe it’s just my mistaken perception, but earlier in the year Abreu seemed very solidly in the second tier of Astros relievers. Now he’s the guy Dusty sends out there to retire Bader, Judge and Stanton.

I think that put just enough doubt in Stanton’s mind to make strike three work.
He’s replaced Stanek in the pecking order for the postseason. And is right there with Neris in usage.
