• The Athletic’s Jim Bowden’s 21 Predictions for the 2021 MLB Season is chock full of Astros’ stuff:

  1. LMJ will toss the 1st no-hitter of the season
  2. CC and the Astros agree on an extension just before the trade deadline
  3. Straw will lead the AL with 52 SBs
  4. Astros win the AL West

They do. One in each league. Typically it’s a guy coming back after missing significant time from an injury. For example, last year’s AL Comeback Player of the Year was Sal Perez of the Royals, after having missed all of 2019 with an injury. In the NL, it was Daniel Bard who had previously retired in 2017.
