Have to shake it off and keep swinging the bats well tomorrow.
Oh, it’s rely on these same scrubbs for at least one game. Better hope Javier brings the game of his life on Friday.
Got to be Javier tomorrow w McCullers on short rest if needed for 5th, backed by Framber in relief. Right?
I think Javier tomorrow too.
I would pitch Javier tomorrow. Paredes will be available, but Raley won’t. Urquidy didn’t go deep enough for a bullpen game tomorrow to be a good idea.
McCullers and pen Friday if it comes to that. Win tomorrow.
Fucking James. 99 mph FB, and he gets beat throwing curves.
With this bullpen, a bullpen game was never a good idea to begin with
I completely agree. Also, who knows, maybe Greinke’s arm feels good enough to pitch Friday.
Javier tomorrow agreed. And pray Greinke makes a miraculous recovery.
Urquidy gave up four homers. Unless I am confused, he is a starter. He can come back Friday in relief, I hope he will pitch better.
CFM - dang I miss that guy. I hope he gets a win tonight.
Agreed. James can’t locate any of his pitches consistently. He was throwing belt-high fastballs to Semien that resulted in a single, and, then, he threw hanging curveballs to La Stella and Pinder.
Surprised they didn’t cut to Yankees pre-game in the ninth.
Grienke report was no structural damage.
He may be able to give some innings somewhere.
“I have no structural damage” isn’t really inspiring.
Everyone is available on Friday, including Urquidy, McCullers, Framber, and Correa, if necessary.
True, he had a bad game. He’s been consistently pretty good to really good since making his debut. And had a 1.26 ERA in the postseason to this point in his career. So him being bad is surprising.
James, Raley, Scrubb, others, I am not surprised when they are bad. I exhale and count my blessings when they get the job done.
What a gut punch to lose this one. I thought we were gonna sweep. Now A’s have the momentum. Let’s hope the offense keeps producing.
Who knows, Coach? Bad timing for the team, though.
I’m listening to “Don’t let me down” now.
Seems appropriate.
At least the refrain. Not the part where he’s singing about his lover.
