2020 ALCS Game 7, Astros @ Rays, October 17, 2020

Correa:

Swings through a high fastball, swings at a ball low and fouls it off, called strike three

CFM has turn the Astros into a bunch of Punch and Judy hitters.

That is a tough pitch. Might want to protect there.

Astros are just overmatched with Charlie right now

He’s in a deep groove.

That last strike might have scraped the side of the zone with the laces.

Perfect location.

If CFM gets that outside pitch all night, this game is over.

Tampa is not home for Morton. He’s from Connecticut and grew up a huge Yankee fan.

I thought he lived in Tampa.

Adames:

Called strike, Fouled away, strikes out swinging

Florida is where his family lives. He talked a lot about being able to drive to work and to sleep at home at night. We are talking two years ago, not his history.

Wendle:

Swinging strike, called strike, Ball, singles on a terrible breaking ball in a two strike count

He didn’t try to challenge him on the HR pitch.

He did that with the pitch before.

He stupidly threw the exact same pitch in the exact same location to the hottest hitter on the Rays.

That’s not challenging the hitter. That’s just stupidity.

He’s had a home in Bradenton since his Pirates days. That’s why he’s “home” here.

Well, I be able to get some work next week that I’ve put off for the last two weeks.

Zunino:

Ball, swinging strike, called strike, fouled away, Ball, strikes out on a good changeup

McCullers is done; Raley coming on

McCullers’ changeup was his best pitch tonight. Too bad he realized it after giving up three runs.

Charlie isn’t an 8 inning pitcher.

First sign of trouble Cash may pull him.
