Cash went with the guy who has been unhittable, but he suddenly got hittable. I don’t even dislike Snell. Now Diaz and Super Randy…
Not a whole lot of difference between Snell’s thoughts about last night vs Greinke’s about Game 7 of the World Series last year. Both are competitive, both want to have a chance to pitch out of a little trouble. I don’t hate Snell for that. I thought it was a quick hook too.
Fuck that baby bitch boy Diaz
What a leader Carlos has become. Great video interview on the Framber Diaz thing
My beef with Snell has nothing to do with last night but with his comments on the “cheating scandal” and his ridiculously stupid comments about getting paid and playing during the coronavirus outbreak.
Last night was a lot quicker hook than Greinke got.
I need to rethink Snell. I did not read his comments on the “cheating.” I do know every article about what the Astros are doing now apparently MUST begin and end with snarky comments about cheating.
I don’t remember Snell’s comments about cheating, but I do remember him going off about not taking a pay cut to play during the pandemic. Basically “If I’m gonna risk my health, you’re gonna pay me for it”. They were pretty tone deaf at the time, considering people were losing their jobs and other essential workers were having to risk their health for far less pay.
Re: Snell
He was let off the hook in game 1.
He was very wary with his FB last night but eventually got in trouble. He was good but not dazzling by any stretch.
Either way he’s yesterday’s news. Astros won’t face him again until next year.
The Astros got some breaks yesterday. They must have had a half dozen seeing eye hits. Maybe Correa can give his Valdez pep talk to Bregman and Gurriel before today’s game.
The breaks tend to even out in baseball. It’s a game that sets you up for failure, and long streaks of anything, good or bad, are rare. Shorts bursts however, are quite common, and one of the main reasons the Postseason is such a crapshoot at times. A guy gets hot for a few games, and all of the sudden he’s an MVP. A guy goes cold for 10-15 at bats, and it’s over. Now if Bregman can get a little back from all the balls he blistered earlier this Postseason…
The Astros were due some breaks.
