Kind of interesting how y’all are all over Bergman but choose to overlook that Correa, Alvarez, Maldy and I Think Yuli are all under .100 in this series.
You know, during late summer I was certain that the bullpen would be the downfall of this team, that there was no way they could go deep in the postseason with that pen. Little did I know that those guys would be good bordering on stellar, and that the bats and the starters would stink up the joint.
Top 2
Davidson pitching
Alvarez – breaking pitch low 1-0, hit FB to left F7.
Wait, what? the Braves have hit four grand slams?
None of them were hitting third. And if you think they’ve escaped criticism, you haven’t paid any fucking attention at all.
Correa has been terrible. Bregman seems to be bringing his hitting struggles to the field with him though.
Could have been 20, or just one, for all the danger we’ve presented them.
Yuli with a murmur of protest.
One out. Davidson pitching
Gurriel - FB inside 1-0, FB catches outside corner 1-1, lines FB to center. Single.
Have you been in the GZ the last few games? Literally no one has overlooked that.
No, astros pitching served up 3 to the Red Sox and one today.
Meaning that no team giving up 16 runs in 4 total at bats would normally have clawed their way into the final series of the season.
Clearly no.
Okay. So post season, not just the World Series.
Nobody has overlooked the fact they aren’t hitting either. But only one of them was in the 3 spot until tonight and just kicked this game off with an error.
Remember when these guys used to vaunt?
Those were fun times.
LOFUCKINGL.
And Bregman comes up with 2 on in his first at bat.
Her post said a postseason team that reached the World Series. It didn’t say salamis allowed in the WS.
But he’ll still find some team to pay his $400 million dollar salary in the off-season. Hopefully it wont be Houston.
Bregman with two on. Great.
