Zero. Interest.
Bottom of the 5th.
Nola pitching.
Pena - breaking ball inside, swing and miss on a curve, FB high, swing and miss on changeup, swing and miss on down and inside changeup.
Pitching change - Alvarado in to pitch.
Alvarez - FB low (99mph), pops up F5.
Bregman - FB strike (101mph), swings and misses a 101mph FB, FB 101 inside, swings and misses the inside cutter. K.
End 5. Phils 5. Astros 5.
Astros are toast.
Come on, bullpen. Have to hold them.
Both fully unsurprised and entirely shocked at Verlander going from unhittable to absolute trash in the flip of a switch.
Jesus.
They’re scared shitless of the World Series.
I had zero expectations from Verlander. Nothing in his history suggested he wouldn’t collapse
Astros are 0-4 in game ones of the World Series and trending to 0-5. Fucking fuck
Only team they can beat in the WS are the Dodgers, who also have more issues than National Geographic.
But usually he doesn’t start strong. He’s usually shit from go. Today he had his shit together then just fell apart once he had a comfortable lead.
JV literally drops the ball on a double play, then morphs into Gerritt Cole.
If Tucker plays that way in the fourth, it’s still 5-0
I’m rooting for Abreu to notch his first WS win.
Abreu looks like he wants to play!
I’m glad that MLB rewards excellence by giving the Series assignments to the best umpires.
Top of the 6th.
Abreu pitching.
Bohm - checks on slider outside. F9.
Stott - curveball inside, FB strike in top of zone, and again, and again. 98, 98, 99. K.
Segura - swings and misses at 3 high FBs. K.
Mid 6. Phils 5. Astros 5.
If Abreu pitches the 5th, the Astros still lead this game.
Abreu with a classic ‘fuck you’ inning.
Now score some more goddamn runs!
I got this. I switched to radio audio and synched it up with TV by pausing and fast forwarding to get it perfect. This is no problem from this point on.
