I donā€™t know why he chose to throw Harper that off speed when he was having serious trouble with the high fastball. Very poor decision which kicked all this off.

Hoskins - FB strike at top of zone, lines FB into center for a single.

Realmuto - drops curve in for strike, ditto, lines back to Verlanderā€™s glove, but he drops the ball and has to pick it up. 1-3. Hoskins to 2nd.

Harper - fouls off high FB. Lines slider for single to RF. Hoskins held at 3rd.

Castellanos - fouls off high FB (97mph), fouls off high FB (97 mph - seems his FBs are a couple mph faster this ab), slider low and outside, digs a low outside breaking ball for single to left. Hoskins scores. Harper to 2nd.

Bohm - lines breaking ball into left field corner for a double. Harper and Realmuto both score.

Stott - FB high and outside, swings and misses a 97mph FB, looks at FB strike 2, FB outside, fouls off high FB, fouls off FB, fouls off FB, fouls off an inside curve, lays off inside breaking ball, takes high FB for a walk.

Segura - FB low and outside, FB down the middle, pops up FB for F4.
