Buffalo, which is simply Frank’s and butter.

That is what my wife says about ribs and wings. More for me is what I say.

This is what my wife says about blue crabs. Which was sacrilege to me 20 years ago. But, is increasingly relevant to me as I age…

Down here I hear it a lot about crawfish.

If it’s too much work they’re doing it wrong.

I don’t mind putting on the hip boots and slogging through the marsh to bag a few mallows, I don’t even mind cleaning them back at the house, but I agree with DAS–grinding the grahams into flour is a pain in the ass.

Call me a something, but I do not like Frank’s sauce on anything. I don’t like Tabasco either.

I’m thinking a mango/habanero, traditional buffalo, and a ???

I’ll refrain from the obvious by labeling a communist, but something teriyaki based is always a good idea on wings.

That is a solid choice!

Also, are you grilling or baking the wings? I prefer the former, Kara the latter. And fwiw, I’ve found tossing the wings in the sauce post cooking is far better than marinating them in it.

You can do both if you want, but if you’re not tossing the cooked wings in sauce before serving them you are doing it wrong.

You’d have to surrender your cojones if you didn’t prefer grilling. Baking ain’t manly.

Air frying is for sissies too.

And using non-stick fry pans. It’s what wimmens do.

Objection. There’s nothing wrong with a naked wing and sauce on the side. Some even prefer it.

I do like grilled wings, but not this time.

I am cooking them in the oven.

Dry. As dry as you can get them. Then tossed with a bit of baking powder and dry spices and such

Slow cook on a rack over parchment paper to render the fats out, then turn it up to hot so it gets crispy.

Then they get sauced.

I sometimes like to steam them before baking. Maybe steaming is for girls, too, I’m not sure.

This is how I like my wings. Almost wing jerky style. Dry and crunchy with a dry rub on 'em. Yum.

No, steaming is manly, unless it’s steamed broccoli.
