They got to 41 wins at least 10 games before I expected.
Walter was a really shrewd pickup. The Red Sox cut him toward the end of a lost season from injury and the Astros pounced less than two weeks later. That transaction was totally off our radar in fan-world but they clearly knew they could make something of him.
I’m getting way, way ahead of myself with this comment but it reminds me a little of how they landed McHugh.

10-2 in their last 12 games decided by 2-runs or fewer (6-0 in 1 run games).
The bullpen is not fucking around this year.

Not to take any credit from Brown but to share it where due, I think Miller and Murphy have a huge role in identifying acquisition targets. And credit to the Sugar Land coaching staff for building him up to this. The org knows pitching top to bottom.
