I have a softball game tonight at 8:20, but it won’t be the end of the world if I have to bail on it.
What part of town are you in and what are we looking for? My expertise is obviously beer and food, but I can do some homework as well if needed. Also, feel free to move this to private message if you don’t want stalkers tonight.
Hey gents, @JohnS lives up Jollyville, but not wedded at all to the north side of town. I’ll be finishing up closer to downtown.

I’ll do some digging on might as well for some ideas.
My go to spot in town is a bar called Turnstile, which is of the northern persuasion, but pretty central north, off Burnet about a mile north of 183.
Good tap wall, great cocktail selection, strong bar food game (great burgers and fries), and popular but not insanely so.
I’m northwest (Lakeline area), so I can easily make anything north of the University.
Excellent. I just finished up for the day and am grabbing a beer the Whippin (sp?).
If everyone is up north, shall we make plans to abuse the hospitality of Turnstile? I could murder a good cocktail and some bar food.

Turnstile sounds great to me. I don’t know if we should try to go early enough that Mark has time to go play buzzball, or if we just tell him to take one for the team.
I’m free from softball obligations, we had enough folks down to play that I was able to beg off.
What time we thinking? 6:30? 7:00?
@MikeS - Whip In, but an excellent venue choice. One of the few old school beer bars that’s survived the times in Austin.

6:30 works for me, just wasn’t sure how quickly our guest of honor can get north.
