You can never have too much pitching and all pitching is not created equal.
3 TOR guys is way better than 2 TOR guys and 2 mid level guys. But this team would still have at least that also.
Last season the team was all but cooked once Lance went down. They fought hard but just didn’t have the horses.
Adding Castillo would be very similar to adding Grienke in 2019 but with even more depth left to keep JV from fatigue ( knock on wood)
I still think a run producing bat should be #1 priority but Castillo is #1A
Especially if it keeps him off of the Yankmees or Blue Jays.

Rosenthal mirrors Passan in talking about the Astros looking to trade one of their starters (Urquidy is the primary mention there). Says the goal is a catcher or CFer under club control beyond this season.
Also says there are teams interested in acquiring Jose Siri.

It was 3 trade scenarios for Jose Urquidy.
The first one was Urquidy for Trey Mancini and Jorge Lopez.
It said getting Mancini would allow the Astros to move Brantley to CF
So I stopped reading.

I never thought the “Hack E Bags” plan got due consideration. With enough practice, Bags could have just kicked the ball around the infield.
Mets getting Naquin and Diehl from the Reds for a prospect package.

Was Morgan added in 1980? I seem to remember seeing him play with the Astros then, but I was young.
Yep
He signed as a free agent to come home before the 1980 season.
He left after 1 season but was pretty much a mercenary after that.
Finished his career with 4 different teams his last 5 seasons.
No doubt you are correct. I remember only his addition that season.
