Interesting. Count me as one who isn’t a fan of the trend in FGs and punts. Don’t think it improves the game. But I’m a Luddite, I’d outlaw all the punching at balls also, at least in piles. Doesn’t bother me much in the open field.
I don’t mind there being so much kicking in “football”. I have a lot of gripes about the game these days, but special teams isn’t one of them.
Bring back real kickoffs and require everyone to wear one of those protective “helmet over helmet” things
Get rid of the “push the runner” nonsense.
That was illegal for years right?, when did they change that rule?
It was illegal for the entirety of football history up until 2005. It was “assisting the runner” and a foul. They modified the rule in 2005 to allow pushing the runner, but still outlawing pulling him or lifting and carrying him.
The Seahawks just scored two touchdowns in 11 seconds.
“This receiver was even wider opener”
Probably the best color analyst quote of the season.
Collingsworth kinda sucks but that was genius
Stroud out today
and Pitre, Howard, Ingram and Fairbairn
Quite a start. They should just put “Vacant” on the jersey of our right guard.
And, it gets worse.
Jags hit 55 yard FG, take it off when the Texans get a personal foul on the attempt, defense stops 3 runs and forces a short FG
And the Texans fumble the kickoff.
This is going to be a fucking beatdown.
Yeah, they’ve almost reached the unwatchable stage for me.
Their defense is fun to watch, would be interesting to see how good they’d be if they weren’t carrying the offense every game, which I’m sure will happen just any week now.
Jags cash in the touchdown on a toe tap catch
That’s a worrisome way to go down.
Good lord this offense is atrocious.
Every member of this defense should get to pick an offensive player to punch in the gut every day.
