My dentist retired on me. I’m hoping my GP and dermatologist stick around a lot longer. They seem young, but then again so did I once.
My dentist mostly retired too, but sold her practice and the dental hygienist stayed. She’s the only person I care about anyway.
My cardiologist, urologist, dermatologist, oncologist, orthopedist, ENT, neurologist, and, as far as I know because I’ve never seen his face, proctologist are all still in place. It’s hell getting old.
And I’m in reasonably good health.

This is getting pretty damn close to perfect.
The rolling mop cleans itself on the fly and can slide out to get right up against the wall and into corners. The base heat cleans and dries the mop to avoid bacteria build-up. It can climb a small threshold.
The only thing missing from my wish list is the Switchbot’s water station.

At the very end he mentioned you can get a version that connects to the main supply.
Were you referring to another aspect of the switchbot?

Nope. Missed that little aside at the end.
Looks like you have to plumb in the dock, rather than just a water station that fits under a toe kick like the Switchbot, which is a problem for me.
Litter Robot assembled and in place. The kids had a good look around it but no use as yet.
In the app I named it “Shitter”, and I look forward the Cousin Eddie-style notifications.

Yep. Going to be a while before that comes into play properly though, as it is on manual currently.

A word to the wise, change when level gets to around 80%. I accidentally let mine get to 100 today…not optimum. But still much better than the standard issue catbox.
How long did it take your cats to make the switch? It’s only been a day, so I’m not stressing, and all I’ve done is set up the robot next to the existing litter box, but there does not seem to be much interest.
The girl climbed in when I first put it down. but hasn’t gone in since. This morning, I ran a cycle for my own curiosity (very quiet) and the boy showed up to take a look. He stuck is head in, which stopped the cycle I was glad to see, at which point he climbed in for a bit and then wandered off.
At some point, I’m going have to fight dirty and leave the old litter box uncleaned to see if they’ll switch for clean litter. I’m not sure that one day is enough time to allow before doing that.
I’ve got 5 cats and currently 4 jumbo boxes that get scooped twice a day. How many of these pricey contraptions do you think I’d need?
In theory: one.
As it self-scoops after every use it will be clean for each subsequent cat’s visit. You’ll be emptying the drawer every day probably (“shitter’s full!”), but that would be a lot less effort than currently.
My two cents, though, would be to get two of them. With 5 cats, the chances of there being fights in the line for the shitter seem pretty high.
Then again, as my cats have still not used my one at all, wtf do I know?
Unfun Fact: The Litter Robot refers to itself as “Litter Robot” and not the “Shitter” designation I gave it. It just adds “- Shitter” to the end of every message.
I am disappoint.
I’m no cat shitting (or cat pissing) expert but I’d be inclined to put the old cat box away in a closet. You know, hide it somewhere for half a day and see what happens.

That seems like DEFPOOP 1, and I’m not there yet. The Litter Robot people suggest the dirty box campaign and/or lobbing some catnip into the robot.
Could also try priming the pump by lobbing some of their crap from the old box into the litter robot to make the association.
