Buehler to PHI. Guess you guys were right. Stros didn’t want him.

MLB shows him as the starter tomorrow.

That’s interesting… it would require a roster move, whereas waiting a day would allow them to call him up as the 14th pitcher.

Tomorrow is Sept 1. If he doesn’t actually come up until tomorrow, no move should be required, right?

Correct.

Yes. They haven’t officially made the move yet

Interesting. I guess they want the third catcher with the 28 man roster.

I was just about to follow up with this. Still highly doubt he plays again but that he’s progressing to this point already is pretty incredible

At some point, you would think teams start focusing on improving pitcher deliveries to keep them healthy instead of just accepting nearly every starting pitcher will need Tommy John Surgery after a few years.

The Astros are just par for the course concerning pitching injuries these days.

You only need to keep them healthy long enough to train their replacement.

Read afterwards that he did stay in, so must be ok. (And hit a double!)

This is no longer “funny” or interesting. You can’t make this stuff up.

Been watching baseball since 1963 and have never seen a team experience this many injuries in a season (especially the pitching setbacks), unbelievable, seriously unbelievable. Everyday is a new injury surprise to try and digest and comprehend.
