Reading this makes me so damn mad. McCullers could have easily just thrown in the towel on his career at any point over the past two years. Dude has by all accounts busted his ass to make a comeback and he gets death threats after one bad start? Despicable.

Not to mention the guy pitched in the 2018 postseason with an elbow that fucking needed TJ. Lance McCullers body has failed him but he has been nothing but an exemplary Astro in every sense of the word. He’s as much of a competitor as anybody to put on the uniform.

I was just reading the comments on the tweet reporting Lance’s quote.
People are actually saying Lance is making this up to deflect the attention from his bad outing.
