Getting on base is great, if it leads to runs. He needs to be moving runners, driving them in. Drawing a 2-out walk in the 8th ain’t helping when he leaves 6 guys on.

I was looking at his stats the other day which indicate he is having an above average season offensively compared to the league (OPS+ 134) and was racking my brain to come up with any memories of impactful at bats.

That is why I think OPS means nothing. At least to my feeble mind, it does not. His OBP is good, but what is his SLG? That is the production part.
