Sweep!
These feel like playoff games for some reason. Great series.
The pitching was fantastic this series!
The pitching these 3 days has been a fucking masterpiece
Apparently holding the opposing team to .3333 runs a game is a recipe for success.
No kidding. The energy is unreal.
I like the win but a shame Brown didnāt get the W. He pitched lights out.
Cubs coming in for the weekend with matching records 48-33. (If Cubs hold on to their 3-0 lead for the 9th against Cards)
Again
Next round we get the Cubbies
30-13 at home
18-9 in day games
Phillies were doomed before this one even started.
What a game. What a series. I canāt wait to get home and read this thread and watch the game later tonight.
At the Flying Saucer, drinking an Equal Parts Kaizen. Itās pouring down rain out there. Come join me.
Not sure what to even make of this season so far. Part of me actually feels a bit guilty in the grand scheme of things as far as how baseball usually works. What weāre seeing really shouldnāt be working. But here we are.
I just keep waiting for someone to pull the rug out.
Amor Fati
Enjoy the ride.
The Astros won 17 one-run games in the first half of the season.
They won 18 all of last year.
This is not a fluke - itās the product of the bullpen being lights out instead of a full on Chernobyl last year.
That shutdown bullpen won them the World Series in 2022. I donāt know how this year will go and am making no predictions, but it sure is nice when you can pencil in a win after seven innings and a lead.
