Great team baseball by Yordan to get on base to create that 3R HR.
Altuve F8 ends the 5th but a very nice 2 out 3 spot makes it 5-1.
Seeing Jose 0 fer so far - again - makes me wonder sometimes why his average is not lower.
Coming into this game he was 5 for his last 21 for a .238 clip. Which is right at his season average.

So he’s the batting version of what Framber used to be in pitching. Either pretty good or gadawful, depending on the day.
He hasn’t been gawd awful. He’s been who he is at this point in his career. He’s in his 16th season. He’s not an elite hitter anymore.

I guess I got too used to 'Tuve finding a way to get clutch hits with men on base.
The Yankees will always hate him, so there’s that.

He’s certainly had some big moments. But he’s old. He’s very much in the sharp career decline that happens to everyone.
