Padres @ Astros, April 20, 2025

Glad I was outside whenever they said whatever they did.

Good report on Arraez: at the hospital, awake, talkative, moving all his extremities

Smith didn’t exactly put much effort into that triple.

Cam in RF is smack-dab in the middle of a learning process

2-0 game could/should be 0-0

Can we send Paredes to someone else?

Meyers leadoff single, 2-out Altuve single moves Meyers to 3B, PB moves Altuve to 2B (no chance for Meyers to score)…Paredes did a good job laying off stuff off the plate until the 3-2 pitch, where he struck out on crap in the dirt.

Still 2-0 Pads

Paredes trails only Jake Meyers in OBP so far.

If that’s not damning with faint praise I don’t know what is

Yeah, that was pretty reactionary by me.

But these guys are very frustrating.

They’re the only 2 regulars (+Caratini) who have an OBP over .340

I’m liking these double-plays, guys, but I could sure do with a few runs.

I understand that Cease is tough, but this is really frustrating.

Jake 2B and Cam single puts runners on the corners with no out in the 5th

…and Dubon golfs a popup to shallow CF that goes off the glove of the 2B who was hauling ass straight backwards to get it

1 run scores, 1st/2nd nobody out, Altuve up

Holy shit, that was above Altuve’s shoulders.

Altuve swung at 3 pitches way up and out of the zone…and Ks

Paredes walks, bases loaded for Yordan with 1 out

I wish I had confidence in Alvarez.

Well, at least we’re tied.

Hit off the hands, FB to RF run scores, too shallow and the throw was too cuttable for the other runners to advance. 1st/2nd 2 outs Pena up

Pena grounds out. We’re tied 2-2 after 5

Aaarghh, so frustrating.

Woof. Walker was lost there.
