It would be like an MLB team losing to a team in A ball. Denial league would still be quite a few levels down from Macclesfield. The National League North is one level below where Wrexham were when bought by Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney. Tier 6 in the pyramid, which goes down something like 14 tiers, I believe
The Carabao Cup is awarded to the winner of the annual EFL tournament, which is open to teams in the top 4 or 5 levels of EFL members. it is a nice win but not like winning the Premier League title.

Palace won the FA Cup last year, which is the same competition from which they’ve just been bounced. The Carabao Cup is a separate competition. Both are separate from the Premier League competition. In terms of reputation and desirability, I believe that Premier League championship > FA Cup championship > Carabao Cup championship.

This is the correct order of things, though might need a few more >'s to do it justice. Winning the FA Cup is a big deal both from a financial aspect and reputation, winning the Carabao is nice but teams don’t even take it seriously until they get to the semi finals and it’s almost looked at as a distraction.
Both competitions also quality you for European competitions. The FA Cup gets you into the Europa League and the Carabao gets you into the Europa Conference League(Palace this year was bumped down from Europa to Conference this year for dubious reasons). The Europa League is massive from a financial aspect, though not as much as the Champions League, the Conference less so.
For a club like Palace, or my club Fulham, the FA Cup is biggest trophy that it’s somewhat realistic to win. So it’s an even bigger deal for the midsized clubs than it is to your Arsenal or Liverpools of the world. Though the big clubs do still win it most years.

Sounds to me like winning the FA Cup does NOT necessarily get you into the Europa League.
