'00’s summer “beer golf”: 1st tee was Valhalla. You’ve got a few people + tennis balls, everyone has a ~7 iron or wedge. Somebody says “that that’s the first flag”, it could be a trash can, tree, statue, whatever at least 100yds away. Last guy to hit it has to carry the cooler of beer for the next hole.

“Palace Saint-Germain” :joy::joy::joy:

World Cup ticket prices announced. Double those of Qatar last time around.

That’s the Trump kickback in effect.

Not to get political in this thread, but I’m really curious to see how many people come to the US, and from where.

You’re gonna get a lot of wealthy Europeans. You know, the non-shithole countries.

Infantino’s buddies.

Meanwhile, Trump has already threatened to deploy ICE to WC games.

He’s already said he’s sending ICE to the Super Bowl because the halftime entertainment is from Puerto Rico

Hoovering up Palace content, the balance of the night went just as well. The fans gathered back in the Lublin town square and had a great night in celebration and in great spirits. They enjoyed camaraderie with Kiev fans and Lublin PD.

Palace is now the bookies’ favorite to win the Conference League.

I’ve been chewing on that one myself.

Thank you for this. I have many people to send it to. I feel like a recognized the Grapes in Leadenhall and at the end the guy had to be pissing in the tunnelled alley next to the Crutched Friar.

I noticed that crystal palace is playing again Sunday…is there a place you recommend to watch the palace in houston?

The guy who ran the Houston chapter of Palace in the USA (it’s on FaceBook) moved to Charlotte, so our meet-ups have become sporadic and, sadly, a little rare. There aren’t many of us to start with and we are splashed all over Houston.

When he was in Houston, he lived near to The Phoenix on Westheimer, so that is our mainstay venue. It’s where we meet when we do actually meet. It’s a great place to watch soccer regardless, with an extensive beer selection and solid food offerings.

I will be sure to let you know if we plan to meet, but it’s not this weekend (even though The Phoenix will be open for the 8am kick offs).

ETA: The Phoenix always has some interesting guest beers - last time I was there is was Old Speckled Hen - and they always have Guinness on nitro.

That drunken cackle at the end was fucking A+.

That bit cracks me up every time.

“Oy! You facking cu…”

To the Phoenix from where you are is a hell of a trip on an ebike.

I did that journey on my e-bike once. ONCE!

Are you fucking serious? Come on, man.

Nope. Legit did it on a Sunday morning.

Going was fine as it was 7am but the return was a nightmare.
