Orioles @ Astros, June 21, 2024

If the Astros lose this game I am setting all my hats and shirts on fire while chanting Espada

I figure it’ll take another eight runs to have a puncher’s chance in the 9th.

And they’ll get to deal with Henderson and Rutschman again next inning.

That was obscene. And I know it when I see it.

Win or lose tonight, there is zero, absolutely fucking ZERO reason, not to be sellers. This team is not good.

Worse than Limey’s stash of Dutch pornography.

Abreu warming for the 9th

Joe Espada’s in-game feel is just terrible. Hernandez had thrown 30 pitches and was getting hit by the bottom of the Orioles’ order. Leaving him in to deal with Henderson was just asking for trouble.

Let’s not get carried away.

If the Orioles “defense” hadn’t been so lax we’d be losing this game.

Nick Hernandez has been a career minor-league arm for a reason. Espada got greedy in the 8th and it bit him in the ass. Espada is a huge problem with this team.

To the 9th…Astros desperately clinging to a 3-run lead

Abreu in to face the 7-8-9 hitters. If anyone gets on, it’s…you guessed it…Henderson

Hader better be ready to face Henderson and Rutschman, if necessary.

@MarkR When you go punch Espada repeatedly in his testicles, can you go ahead and kick Hernandez and Montero in the balls as well?

Abreu walks at least one batter this inning, probably the lead off man……

I think the cruelest outcome clearly and therefore the most likely is the Orioles score three here, we go to extra innings and lose at home like always.

Throw strikes, Abreu.

One out

An out! And after starting out 3-0.
