That was fuckin’ slick. Looked like a low throw, but it was perfectly placed for sliding right into it. Put that replay on loop.

Yordan fouls off a low fastball and dirt kicks up in to everyone’s face. Umpire is not amused. Sweeper stays outside, 1-1. Smokes a ball between first and second, but Acuna makes a really nice play and throws him out, 4-3. 1 out.
I did that twice in a game once. It was at the Durham Athletic Park, and they’d removed the padding from the backstop. If a ball hit the wall, it was a rocket right back at the plate.
I’m neck-deep in work anyway, although I will be taking time for Rays Opening Day tomorrow at the Yankmees spring crib.

Fouls off an inside fastball. Rips a curveball to left, Nimmo comes in and makes a nice catch on a sinking liner, 2 outs.
Walker has hit the shit out of the ball 3 times.
Paredes has looked solid at 3rd. Not flashy, but solid.

Diaz 2 outs and nobody on, takes one right down the middle, 0-1. Takes a curve that looked like it caught the bottom of the zone, but called a ball. Curve outside 2-1. Up and in, 3-1. Curve, inside… ball 4.

- Soto flies out to LF. Altuve and Pena both had a play on it, but Altuve takes charge and makes the catch.
- Alonso singles to RF, Cam Smith fields it on a bounce.
- Vientos works the count full, Framber starts showing agitation, Yainer calms him down, Framber rolls a 6-4-3 double play, just like you’d draw it up.
