This was just Yordan making a dumb choice.

Ohtani - FB outside, FB outside, fouls FB back, fouls change up back (2-2), flies out to right, a few steps in front of warning track.

What’s the reason for Yordan in LF instead of Chas or Siri in that game situation? Defensive replacements for him with late leads were the regular move last season. I’m not bitching after the fact, I’m just wondering why.

And yes, it was a dumbass decision to not keep the ball in front of him.

He got damn close earlier. Who was it…Bagwell, somebody and Brantley all have 3 in a row?

Yordan isn’t some schlub left fielder overall. No reason to pull him for another OF.

Machete - FB low, fouls off high breaking ball, grounds out 6-3.

Altuve - takes breaking ball strike, inside ball, lays off FB that just missed, fouls off FB, ball low, FB low and outside. Walks.

Brantley - breaking ball low - Altuve steals 2nd. Grounds out 5-3.

3-1 Astros.
