That’s a 1% chance catch. Just an awful, awful throw.

It also came in way to fast. If the throw had a little less power, maybe he catches it

A lot of guys make that catch. However a good throw and were not talking about a drop on a poorly thrown ball.

It’s not uncatchable by any means, but definitely low percentage.

It wasn’t a drop, it was a horribly missed throw.

We win today with Quinn starting. No doubt in my mind.

I think we win if this was 3 or 4 weeks from now. At Ohio State week one is a tough draw for an inexperienced qb, I don’t care who that qb is.

Exactly. That OSU secondary is top notch.

Probably. But, Arch has a long way to go.

Was Quinn that much better in the Red Zone? Because not getting points when inside the 10- yard line, multiple times, was the killer today.

I’m not convinced Texas wins with Ewers either, but it’s neither here nor there.

Sark at least trusted him to throw the ball. That wasn’t the case with Arch today.

He only opened things up when Texas was down 14 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter. Sark’s playcalling and Arch’s passing are why Texas lost today.

I had no idea that Arch sidearm throws every pass within 15 yards of the LOS. He may have completed 4 of them. RB on a swing route had much field in front of him and Arch threw it at his ankles

I am shocked, legitimately shocked, by how bad Manning was today. He was absolutely terrible, bad enough that if he had a different surname everyone would be wondering who the next guy is.

Sark’s play calling is as bad as it was last year, just unconscionable inside the red zone, but if you have average quarterback play that shouldn’t enter into it.

Arch had no business being anointed the Heisman frontrunner after two starts. Today proved that.

Maybe the Horns should have opened against Stephen F Austin.

The preseason hype was ridiculous, no matter what happened today.

But not Tarleton State

Agreed. I still didn’t expect him to play this poorly today.

Arch will be fine if he can learn that not every pass needs to be fired in at 100MPH.

Sark needs to figure out the redzone.

Overall, the offense just felt really vanilla. Very little tempo, almost no misdirection or pre-snap motion. It was just lineup and run a play. That’s never been Texas under Sark. Really weird that they decided to do that today

The defense was insane. They were a couple penalties and a great Tait catch away from a shutout
