At the Stretch…2-1 Nationals

Astros managed to hold a lead for almost a half an inning. Baby steps, I guess.

Luis Garcia, the other one, in for Washington.

Walker with a leadoff double

This HPU is simply awful. One of the worst I’ve ever seen at this level.

Lance Barksdale.

Melton draws a 4-pitch walk, though two of them were strikes.

Jim Hickey had been at it a long time.

Yainer grounds into 6-4-3 double play. Walker to 3B

Dubon called out on ball five six inches off the plate

End of seven, 2-1 Nationals

It’s honestly not any fun to watch baseball when the umpiring is this bad. I don’t care whom it favors, it just seriously detracts from the game.

If this fuckwit Manfred doesn’t bring roboumps in next year my interest in the league is going to wane considerably I fear.

Abreu in

Just a sickening call on Dubon. I simply can’t remember the last time I didn’t notice a HPU.

2-out walk to Lowe

All four balls to Lowe were closer than “strike” three to Dubon.

There was a guy who was particularly good, not that long ago, not the A’s series, I didn’t watch much of that because I’m not a masochist, but maybe the Arizona series.

I guess it says something when a solid performance stands out.
