Which begs the question: If you are an MLB player clearly struggling this bad but not hurt, wouldnāt it be reasonable to approve such a move to go work on stuff out of the limelight? I guess you canāt be on the MLB roster and ārehabā in the minors unless you are hurt. His salary is guaranteed. Itās too bad that, with his approval, they canāt send him down for a bit.
I think itās more likely they come up with an injury and IL him than to send him down.
The ideal would probably be to send him to West Palm Beach to get him a little rest and work with the training/coaching staff there, like the Jays did with Manoah.
