When my maternal Grand Pa smoked he eschewed filtered cigarettes, he mostly smoked Lucky Strikes, sometimes Camels, when he got lung cancer he still didn’t stop but switched to Raleighs. The last few months of his life he came to a realization that smoking caused his lung cancer, so he switched to a “safer” multifiltered brand called True. Said they tasted like rags. He was a good grandfather, died at 62.
