I believe, strongly, that these dumbfuck lineups and asking shit relievers to perform in critical situations has dispirited the players to the point that you now see. If your manager has a Sometimes you have to sacrifice a game attitude at this point in the season, the players aren’t going to run through a wall for him.

You’re looking for a pitch to hit in the air there, not a ground ball to the right side. Granted, he swung at a pitch he shouldn’t have, but the issue wasn’t not going the other way.
