Immaculate Grid - Spoilers & Boasts

So now, when I see Mariners, Rockies, Rays, or Marlins, I just give up.

Currently the accuracy rates on the Seattle column are 52, 53, and 46%.

Fuck the Mariners.

It’s either 9/9 or nothing for me. Today I missed my first one because I typed Derek Lee instead of Derrek Lee into the Cubs 100 RBI spot

Glad I’m not the only one

I often forget that Beltre had a stint in Seattle. Today I finally remembered.

Surprised that Alan Trammel was so low for 100 RBI Tiger, 3%

I did an NBA grid the other day.

Lakers/Top 10 draft pick. Magic Johnson 9%

We. Are. Old.

For 100 RBI squares, Norm Cash came in at 2%, also Roy Campanella and Ron Santo at 2% as well.

I used Santo for the CHC/CWS square. That was something of a heresy in Chicago at the time.

Today might be the fastest 9/9 I’ve ever played. Rarity was a disgusting 241, but there are pretty obvious and non-repeating answers for each of the squares.

I tried to get cutesy. Eric Davis never hit 40 home runs. Dammit!

I did get to use Ty Cobb and Cy Young, both at 2% though.

I ended up with four of the most popular (including all three HOF members), but Gene Conley & Tito Francona rescued my rarity score. Also, amazingly, Yaz was only 4% and Tony Perez only 3%. As has been noted before, recency bias!

Is there any way to disable autocorrupt?

Yes. It’s called proofreading.

9/9 today, 138. Was surprised I picked the most common A’s/Phillie with Jeremy Giambi. Thought I was being clever there. Wasn’t.

Same. With the A’s I my first thought is always “did they trade with this team in Moneyball?” And it seems like I’m not the only one. I guess John Mabry was the better answer from that trade.

PSA: Mickey Rivers swiped 30+ bags on multiple occasions for the Angels and Yankees, but not for the Rangers.

Immaculate today and thought I was going to crush my best rarity score ever…but then the last two squares…

5/9 square - I literally could only come up with Jon Gray; 6/9 square - Went Kinsler because I didn’t have the stones to go with Julio Franco. No guts, no glory.

Astros went top to bottom: Garner, Incaviglia & Hudek

Amazing that we both went to Hudek as our obscure All Star
