I’m torn

Baseball is better on the radio than on TV. I realize we instinctively want to see the action, but, long after the fact, a radio memory is a real memory for reasons that are difficult to write down. The pace of baseball lends itself to radio, and the fact you can focus on the ball and still say a lot as the ball moves around a lot. Also, as someone who got to listen to Vin Scully for several years while sitting on my mom’s back porch, in the right hands baseball on the radio can be a truly religious experience.
