I hear that Kingston Flemings is a bad motherfucker.
I went to a game last night for the first time in ages; I literally canāt remember the last time I attended a college basketball game. The team I was there to watch scored one field goal in the second half. One. It was a brutal reminder of why I gave up on the entire enterprise when I did.
Iām thinking about it now and I bet the last time was in 2008 in Houston when the Longhorns made it to the Elite Eight. I must have been at the game against Memphis.
They need to increase their offensive rebounding, and decrease their turnovers, then they will create more scoring opportunities.
That would have been a great matchup back in 1985.
They need to make a shot more than once a half. They had a bunch of seventh and eighth graders from some Catholic school play at halftime and they were terrible yet they poured in far more points than these assclowns.
Dan Hurley sure seems like a dick.
Was this Georgetown @ DePaul?
So is his brother, Bobby.
Yes. Oh, you mean all the scoring at halftime? That was St Giles.
Arizona gets a superb fight from kansas aggy, but ends up pulling away/thumping k-state 101-76, still holding #1 in the U.S. and A.
Suffice to say, the Big 12 is a solid basketball conference this year.
Letās go BasketCats ![]()

I thought you were talking about Georgetown and DePaul too. Georgetown only made one FG in the second half of that game.
Gonzaga vs Santa Clara is a fun game
ā¦the minute I posted that the Zags began a 20-somthing run
Coogs @ Baylor about to tip off, on the NBC sports network and Peacock
Flemings was out for the rest of the first half early on with two fouls, zero points, and the Coogs down 6-14. Then they go one a 17-1 run and donāt look back. Final score: Houston 77 Baylor 55.
Good article on the various conferencesā¦much love for the Big12
Also, I know nothing about either team but Nebraska and Vandy are both quietly 16-0
Nebraska coach, Fred Hoiberg is a real good coach with previous NBA and NCAA stops. Itās taken him a couple of years to turn the program around but he has them on a solid foundation.
I forgot Hoiberg was their coachā¦I remember him from his college playing days, Iowa State I think?
Good memory.
Wiki says he played at Iowa St, drafted by the Pacers and also played for Chicago and Minnesota.
per wiki: Born in Nebraska, grew up in Iowa, college in Iowa, pros in Indiana/Illinois/Minnesota, coached in Iowa/Chicagoā¦heās definitely got the Midwestern bona fides to run a good program in Nebraska.
eta: Iād forgotten this nugget: Hoiberg obtained the nickname āThe Mayorā after receiving several write-in votes during the 1993 Ames, Iowa mayoral race.
