Tech decided to shit the bed instead.
Kansas, at home, put a whoopin’ on BYU
There was some serious home cooking there, although that’s not much of a surprise at the Phog. But there was no way on Earth that Kansas was going to lose the 1000th game at that venue.
Self seemed a lot thinner than I remember him being the last time I saw him. I know he’s recently been hospitalized a couple of times for seeming heart-related matters, so either the doctors have got his attention and convinced him to change his diet, or he’s fighting some problem.
KU beat the shit out of BYU until the last whatever minutes…just like Arizona did
The last 20. But they were definitely better. I remain unconvinced of Dybantsa’s greatness, but he’s good at forcing officials to make calls.
Has there been any update on Peterson? He seems extraordinarily fragile.
I can’t imagine trying to stop this Carey dude from Tennessee. You’d have to be Shaq-sized to do it.
Dybantsa shot 4 FTs. Him plus Saunders and Wright make a pretty good trio.
This was Peterson’s 1st game in 10 days or so after re-aggravating the ankle? injury he had earlier this year iirc.
eta: sorry, I don’t know what the hell recurring thigh cramps (I always got mine in the calf) means
Here’s something you don’t see everyday.
I have a hard time believing there are 18 teams better than Florida.
Was just coming here to say that this is the Florida team everyone expected to see this year.
They’ve lost 3 games to Zona/Duke/UConn by a combined 11 points…then lost 3 other games they had no business losing.
Florida has had some bad losses this year but some big wins too. The losses are:
TCU in November
Mizzou on the road to start SEC play
Auburn (by 10) at Home last week.
Their only statement win has been Vandy and today’s blow out of Bama.
Kenpom’s analytics ranking has them at #7. That is much closer to reality.
Looking forward to Illinois v Nebraska
Tech hosting Kansa is pretty good so far.
Not much offense so far. Kansas leads Tech at the half 32-29.
Tough loss for Tech after building a lead most of the 2nd half.
It gives me no joy to say this, but if Peterson stays healthy (big if), Kansas is going to be a hard out in March Madness.
Let go Coogs! Beat the Cougars! ![]()
I know the Coogs are gonna receive a lot of fouls because of their aggressive defense but you can breath on these BYU guys and get called for a foul.
The Coogs come away with a hard fought victory 77-66.
Texas Tech picks up a nice road win 70-63 at West Virginia to stop the two game skid.
