Astros chasing a run

B9:

Karinchak in for the Indians

Alvarez pops out softly to 3B

Not a good at bat

B9:

Correa pops out F3 on the first pitch.

An even worse at bat

Carlos has his back

Geez.

3 popups.

Good grief.

Another sweep fail. In two ways.

Tucker pops out F3

Hold my beer…5-pitch inning

Astros drop this one 5-4

Geez, that was pitiful

That was a weak run through the middle of the lineup.

Correa is now 1 for his last 34

May hurt his $300 million plan some.

Hard to beat any team 7 straight times. Let’s have a good day off and get ready to kick the shit outta the Rangers starting Friday

True. Still, this one was winnable.

No doubt. Would have been nice to gain an extra half game in the standings with Oakland not playing today too

Who dresses Mike Stanton? Herb Tarlek?

Great camera work on this play: as Straw & Tucker fly to the ball, Straw glances toward Tucker, and then, at the last moment, gives way for Tucker to make the sliding catch as he slides behind him.

Beautiful display of athleticism & speed in the OF combined w/ awareness & communication that avoided a collision!

You think so, snuffy? How about a circular poor route to the ball by Straw forcing Tucker to dive in front of him risking a collision. Straw did do a good job avoiding a collision, but his route was poor and tentative. The CFer must take charge, and Straw did not. His defense is much improved but still is a work in progress.
